Great site, but how do you make money?
Uhhh, we don’t. The site does cost $250/year to run. If you like it, you can leave us a tip via the green “VINOLUMBIA | TIP JAR” button [thank you if you do], but otherwise the costs our on us.
How do I join so I can submit reviews?
Just submit an Application. You must enter the email address of an existing VINOLUMBIAN reviewer who can vouch for you.
Why is sign-up restricted – why does someone have to vouch for me?
Same reason your office’s refrigerator isn’t clean. We’re not [total] jerks, we just want to make sure those that do signup are able to contribute.
I’m a winemaker / store owner / restauranteur / candlestick-maker and I’d like something featured on the site – what do I do?
Just drop us a line and we’ll see what we can do. Fair warning: responses may take a week (sorry, day jobs).
Why don’t you have an app? Where can I get an app? I want to build an app?
Well, we’re not that talented in the coding department so HTML 5 + open-source tools like WordPress, MySQL, and PHP are as good as we could do. If you are an app developer and want to build us an app for FREE or if you have a general suggestion, please get in touch. Otherwise, this is as good as it gets.
Why don’t you allow ads? Don’t you realize you could be making money?
The site was created by friends for tracking wine. We are focused on making it useful and keeping it simple.
What is your mailing address and phone number?
VINOLUMBIA only exists online. The contact form is really the best way to get in touch about anything directly related to the site. If you want to reach out to a particular reviewer, please use the reviewer’s personal email or leave a comment after a review for all the world to see.
I would like what you said about my wine / store / hair-length edited or removed entirely.
Please submit a request through the contact form with the details and we will respond as soon as we can. Please remember if a wine is reviewed at all on this site, it is deemed worthy of re-purchasing; and if a store is featured, it means we currently spend our money with you.
